Family of Three Found Dead in their Home

May 1st, 2002

Authorities investigating cause of deaths in suspected foul play incident

In a chilling discovery this morning, a family of three was found dead in their Princeton home. At 5:35 AM, landlord Jessica Roberts went to check on the Ellington family, who had been late paying their electric bill. Upon entering the home, she was met with an
unsettling scene: the bodies of Robert Ellington, 35, his wife Lisa, 32, and their 8-year-old daughter Emily, were all found in their living room. The authorities were immediately alerted, and a forensic investigation is now underway.

The Princeton Police Department has confirmed that the deaths are being treated as suspicious, although the exact cause has yet to be determined. There are signs of possible foul play, though nothing official has been released at this time. Authorities are
questioning neighbors and examining the home for any potential evidence.

“We are treating this as an active investigation,” said Detective Mark Johnson of the Princeton Police Department. “We ask anyone who may have seen anything unusual to come forward. The Ellington family was well-known in the neighborhood, and this is a
very tragic event for all of us.”

As investigators work to piece together the events leading to the deaths, the small town of Princeton remains in a state of disbelief. Community members have already begun to gather, offering condolences and support to the family’s surviving relatives.
